Lady Antebellum announced a winner, Henryville High School, in their Own the Night prom contest. The West Clark, Indiana high school was devastated by a tornado earlier this year.
While Lady A won't be on hand for the school's April 28 prom, they have scheduled a show on May 16 for Henryville's juniors and seniors.
"The very first thought I had was that I was going to make sure that this was the best prom that they ever had. If I had to spend my own money, they were going to have a prom. Nothing is going to erase the memory of that day for these kids," says a Henryville art teacher in SCHS's video. "But we can give them something that's going to make it a little easier on them."
"We cannot wait to own the night with you guys," said singer Hillary Scott in a video announcement. "We love you. See you soon, Henryville."
