Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland is featured in a behind the scenes video from her recent recording sessions with soul legend Lionel Richie. The pair recorded a cover of Lionel's classic track "Hello."
The track appears on Lionel's upcoming new release Tuskegee, which is due out March 26 and includes collaborations with some of country's biggest names.
In the video, Nettles is seen contributing her vocals to the tune and they both speak on the album's significance. Jennifer is, in fact, a native of Douglas, Georgia, which is just 180 miles from Lionel's home in Tuskegee, Alabama.
"I want to let everybody know that I'm from there, and country is Tuskegee," Lionel told TheBoot.com. "Or should I say rather, my country is Tuskegee. I was born and raised there, it's not just someplace I passed through one day. It just seemed fitting -- a celebration of life."
