Yahoo! Inc. (YHOO) announced Thursday its plans to provide access to a Do Not Track, or DNT, header solution by early summer. The company noted that the solution, which allows users to control ads targeting them on Yahoo!-owned sites, conforms with the Digital Advertising Alliance's principles.
The solution follows such earlier initiatives as Ad Interest Manager and AdChoices, Yahoo! added, underlining the company's focus on user privacy. Additionally, the company lauded Chairman Bono Mack for "her foresight to call a hearing" on online privacy.
