Soul Asylum have confirmed their first new album in six years will be released this summer.
The album, titled Delayed Reaction, was produced by the band and founding member Dave Pirner who said it made for a more deliberate recording process.
"It feels like approaching it as an album and a thing that has a sequence, and a thing that is a piece of work in itself is almost an archaic process . . . Honestly, it's more organic. Even though you're using some of this newer technology, the fact that you're doing it yourself is what made it take so long and the process unique, this time," Pirner said in a press release.
The album features newly minted band members Tommy Stinson (the Replacements) on bass and former Prince drummer Michael Bland.
Delayed Reaction track list:
01. "Gravity"02. "Into The Light"03. "The Streets"04. "By The Way"05. "Pipe Dream"06. "Let's All Kill Each Other"07. "Cruel Intentions"08. "The Juice"09. "Take Manhattan"10. "I Should've Stayed In Bed"
