Monday morning, the White House issued a slew of proclamations urging Americans to be aware of a variety of causes to be marked in April.
To be fair, the White House frequently issues multiple proclamations honoring different causes on a single month - February, for example, is both Black History Month and Parent Leadership Month.
But the disparity of the causes proclaimed for April may raise some eyebrows.
April, it seems, is not only National Financial Capability Month for 2012, it is also National Cancer Control Month, National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month and National Donate Life Month.
(April 2, specifically is also World Autism Awareness Day, it seems - another proclamation among the releases Monday).
It could not be immediately determined which month of the year is the 'busiest' with the most simultaneous causes highlighted by the administration, but the White House message for Americans in April seems to be "Be aware. Be very aware."
