Slovakia's retail sales increased for the second month in February, data from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed Wednesday.
Retail sales excluding sale of motor vehicles increased 2.0 percent annually in February, following 1.5 percent growth in January. The latest growth rate is the strongest since December 2008, when sales advanced 5.3 percent annually.
Month-on-month, retail sales declined 1.6 percent in February.
The statistical office also reported that wholesale sales climbed 7.8 percent annually and increased 2 percent on a monthly basis in February.
