Maruti Suzuki, India's largest car maker, is all set to launch its multi-purpose vehicle Ertiga on April 12 in New Delhi along with its global launch, media reports suggest. Expected to be priced below Rs 10 lakh, the petrol variant of the Ertiga will give a mileage of 16.02 kmpl, while its diesel variant will deliver a mileage of 20.77 kmpl.
The Ertiga is the first diesel powered MPV from the Maruti Suzuki stable and is intended to be "mainly marketed in India" and a couple of ASEAN markets like Indonesia, with suitable modifications for the local conditions. Maruti is marketing it as a 'life utility vehicle' or LUV.
