Several events are lined up to help Paul Simon celebrate the 25th anniversary of his album Graceland, including the television premiere of the documentary Under African Skies and several theatrical screenings.
The television premiere takes place this spring on A&E. Theatre screenings, which began with one at SXSW this year, continue this spring and summer at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, the Florida Film Festival, the RiverRun Film Festival, the Seattle International Film Festival and Sundance U.K.
The film, which documents the making and influence of Graceland, has limited theatrical engagements in New York and Los Angeles, beginning May 11.
Simon is also issuing a Special Graceland 25th Anniversary Collector's Edition Box Set, which features 2 CDs and 2 DVDs packed with videos, interviews, deluxe packaging and a remastered version of the original LP.
