Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. (STP) announced that Jerry Stokes, President of Suntech Europe, has been elected as a Director and Vice President of the European Photovoltaic Industry Association's or EPIA's eight-member board. Also, Winfried Hoffmann, a Member of the Supervisory Board of SMA Solar Technology AG, was appointed as EPIA's new President. The elections were held recently at the EPIA's Annual General Meeting in Brussels.
Jerry Stokes has been actively involved in solar PV, fuel cells, and energy conversion, distribution and storage industries in Europe for more than 20 years. Stokes joined Suntech in 2006 and, as President of Suntech Europe, is responsible for Suntech's growth strategy and development in Europe.
