Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc. (KKD) said Tuesday that its President and Chief Operating Officer Kenneth May is leaving the company for personal reasons.

May had joined Krispy Kreme in November 2011.

The company's Chief Executive Officer James Morgan has reassumed the role of president, effective immediately.
