Latvia's annual inflation slowed for the seventh consecutive month in March, data released by Statistics Latvia showed Wednesday.
Inflation slowed to 3.3 percent in March from 3.4 percent in February. Inflation eased for the seventh consecutive month.
Food prices rose 2.9 percent annually during the month, while clothing and footwear prices decreased 1.4 percent. There was as 10.2 percent annual growth in housing costs and utility prices during the month, and a 4.1 percent rise in transportation costs.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices moved up 0.6 percent in March, faster than the 0.1 percent rise seen in in the previous month.
