Axl Rose Declines Hall Of Fame Induction

Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose says he is skipping his band's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In an open letter published to the Hall and GNR fans, Rose thanks the Hall for the induction, but not only will he not be at the ceremony, but he will "respectfully decline my induction as a member of Guns N' Roses to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame."

In the letter Rose cites numerous reasons for his decision, including how "the Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony doesn't appear to be somewhere I'm actually wanted or respected."

Rose claims that the induction is the hall's "show, not mine" and he does not agree with who was invited to take part in "'our' induction," namely members of the band he kicked out years ago, like drummer Steven Adler, and guitarist Slash.

Nevertheless, the Hall of Fame says Guns N' Roses will still be inducted, and Green Day will do the honors.

"We are sorry Axl will not be able to accept his Induction in person," the institution said in a statement.
