Opmedic Q2 Profit Slips

Opmedic Group Inc. (OMG.TO), Friday, reported a decline in profit for the second-quarter on lower revenues.

The Mount Royal, Quebec-based company reported a second-quarter net profit of C$378 thousands or C$0.02 per share, compared to C$1.038 million or C$0.06 per share.

Total revenues for the quarter dropped 10 percent to C$4.456 million from C$4.928 million in the prior-year quarter.

The company declared a cash dividend of $0.02 per share, payable on April 30.

The company also said Ken Newport resigned as director on April 2, to pursue other professional responsibilities.
