Pippa Middleton, sister-in-law to Prince William of England, has landed in hot water after a male companion reportedly pulled a fire arm on a member of the paparazzi while they were driving in Paris on Sunday. According to ABCnews.com, Middletown could face legal charges as a result of the incident.

Middleton and three male friends were allegedly riding in an Audi convertible in Paris when one of the men brandished a semi-automatic pistol and pointed it at a photographer. An image of the alleged incident has been released by Britain's The Sun, in which Middleton is apparently seen smiling as a man points a weapon from the vehicle.

The Sun's royal news editor Duncan Larcombe spoke with "Good Morning America" and says he surprised by the incident:

"Pippa has been photographed; she's been coached on how to behave," Larcombe said. "If she's photographed by an unwanted freelance photographer, she smiles, she keeps her head up and she lets the lawyers doing the arguing behind the scenes. She knows much better than this."
