Kenny Chesney has signed on to sing at a private fundraiser at the House of Blues in New Orleans next month, which will be sponsored by charity organizations led by New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and actor Matthew McConaughey and his fiancée Camila Alves.
This special event will host a race of 30 teams through the French Quarter and will be sponsored by the Brees Dream Foundation and the JK Livin Foundation. Both of these organizations have teamed up to provide after-school fitness and wellness programs to the New Orleans area.
"Kenny has been a dear friend and always expressed interest in working with the foundation," Brees and McConaughey said in a written statement. "This is such a wonderful way to end the race and his support means the world to us."
This event featuring a performance by Chesney is scheduled for May 11.
