Strategic Hotels & Resorts Announces Pricing For Common Shares Offering

Strategic Hotels & Resorts Inc (BEE) Wednesday announced that it has priced the underwritten public offering of 16.0 million shares of its common stock at $6.50 per share.

The company has granted the underwriters an option to purchase up to 2.4 million additional shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any.

Deutsche Bank Securities and Raymond James & Associates, Inc .have been selected to act as joint book-running managers for the Offering.

The Company intends to use the net proceeds from the Offering for general corporate purposes which might include reducing its debt obligations.

The company further added that the Offering is expected to close on April 23, 2012, subject to customary closing conditions.

The Royal Bank of Scotland plans to cut 880 jobs from its IT department in London by 2020, a UK labor union reported. Britain's Unite union claimed on Tuesday that the bank informed its staff about a further 40 percent cut of permanent IT jobs, which is said to be part of ongoing deep cost-cutting at the taxpayer-owned bank. The bank also plans a 65 percent reduction of contractors. Moller-Maersk A/S were gaining around 4 percent in the morning trading in Denmark after the shipping and oil company maintained its forecast for higher profit in fiscal 2017, despite the expected negative impact from the June cyber-attack of up to $300 million. In its second quarter, the company slipped to a loss, compared to profit last year.
