Gilead Sciences Inc. (GILD) announced interim data from the Phase 2 ELECTRON study of once-daily oral agent GS-7977 plus ribavirin Thursday morning, in treatment-naïve patients with genotype 1 chronic hepatitis C virus infection.
Gilead Sciences has gapped open sharply higher Thursday and is now up 7.15 at $53.76 on above average volume. The stock has jumped to a 2-month high and has re-crossed its 50-day moving average.
