Kim Kardashian may be eying a career in politics, starting with a run for Mayor of Glendale, California. During a recent episode of her sister's show "Khloe and Lamar," Kim explained that in several years she could be a great leader for the city in a few years time.

"I decided I'm going to run for the mayor of Glendale (Calif.)," Kardashian said on the show later explaining, "it's going to be in, like, five years."

Though Kim is currently registered to vote in Los Angeles, she says Glendale would be a good choice "because it's, like, Armenian town."

The comments have drawn mixed reviews from authorities in Glendale. City spokesperson Tom Lorenz was incredulous and clarified a few realities of the job:

"No. 1, you don't run for mayor in the city of Glendale. It is not an elected position in the city. The elected positions are five City Council people, a city clerk and treasurer," Lorenz tells the LA Times.

"Does the position give you any more power or authority? The answer is no," he adds.

Glendale City Councilman Rafi Manoukian, however, told E! News he's behind the idea: "I would support her. I think she would make an excellent mayor."
