Grateful Dead will release a video game, Grateful Dead Game: the Epic Tour, based on ten of their best shows from 1970 to 1990.

A rep for Curious Sense, the digital media company that created the game, said the object of the platform is to restore the magic of the original shows while including the gamer:

"What we're doing is creating an adventure by traveling through Grateful Dead history, Grateful Dead time and space . . . The objective is to keep having fun rather than get to the end."

"There's nothing explicit," he added. "The visuals are psychedelic, they're fantastical, they're colorful, and they're whimsical - but no drug references."

Deadheads navigate the virtual space with the recognizable bear logo/character. The ten concerts selected for the game's levels were chosen by the vote of potential users.
