Brinker International Inc. (EAT) reported third quarter adjusted EPS of $0.60 Monday morning, compared to $0.47 in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.56.
Brinker International gapped open higher Monday and rose further during the early portion of the afternoon. The stock closed up by 2.98 at $30.88, with volume at an 8-month high. Brinker International broke out past resistance and set a new high for the year.
