Following the release of Statistics Canada's retail sales figures for February at 8:30 am ET, the Canadian dollar edged lower against its major opponents. As of 8:31 am ET, the loonie was trading at 1.3039 against the euro, 0.9910 against the US dollar and 81.90 versus the yen.
