Deckers Outdoor Corp. (DECK) Sank To A New Low After Q1 Report

Deckers Outdoor Corp. (DECK) reported first quarter EPS of $0.20, down from $0.49 in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.25. The company expects to report a second quarter loss of $0.60, compared to the consensus estimate of a loss of $0.39. Full year 2012 EPS is expected to decrease approximately 9% to 10% from 2011, compared to previous guidance for diluted earnings per share to be approximately flat year over year.

Deckers Outdoor gapped open dramatically lower Friday and fell during the first half hour of trade. The stock settled into a narrow range for the remainder of the day and closed down by 17.63 at $51.83 on the highest volume of the year. Deckers Outdoor sank beneath support and closed at a new low for the year.
