Katy Perry has been added as the first performer for the MuchMusic Video Awards, which are taking place on June 17.
The "California Gurls" singer has previously attended the awards show and entered the event by pulling up in an ice cream truck two years ago in Toronto.
Perry, who recently broke up with her British beau Russell Brand, will be officially divorced from him on June 30.
The singer has reached number one with her newest single, "Part Of Me," and will be releasing a new 3D feature film soon, in which she has decided to cut out all scenes featuring Brand.
The MMVAs will air live and will also be simulcast via Fuse in the U.S. Last year's awards show welcomed guests such as Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, the Black Keys, Snoop Dogg, and Avril Lavigne.
