Former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman may be set to rejoin the group for a series of shows celebrating the groups' 50th anniversary. Rumors surfaced that Wyman would reprise his role in the band after he was in the studio with the group back in December.
Keith Richards told Rolling Stone magazine that he had been trying to convince Wyman to come back into the fold:
"We're back in touch, which is great, because I hadn't really spoken to him for years. I think he's up for it. We talked about it. I'll let you know when I can."
Wyman, 75, left the band in 1992 following the Steel Wheels tour. He does not fly which would limit his ability to perform with the group.
However, it has been suggested that he might be an advantage because the group is not planning an extensive tour.
