MicroTech announced that it has received a five year Federal prime contract with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or VA, with a maximum value of $500 Million. MicroTech is partnering with Dell (DELL) and Microsoft (MSFT) on this contract.
Under the enterprise agreement, this new contract is in support of the VA's overall operation, management, implementation and use of Microsoft Enterprise Services.
MicroTech said it will provide dedicated technical support representatives and subject matter experts provided via Microsoft Enterprise Services to support and assist VA in overall operation, management, implementation and use of products included in this order in order to fully leverage, support, and deploy the Microsoft enterprise product capabilities and best practices required by an enterprise the size of VA.
Successful MicroTech-led projects include a Microsoft SharePoint deployment, Windows XP migration, and Microsoft SCCM deployment to the entire VA infrastructure.
