Allegiant Travel Co. (ALGT) reported that its traffic in April 2012 increased 22.2% from April 2011, on a capacity increase of 24.7%.
The airline said its April 2012 traffic rose 22.2% to 587.54 million revenue passenger miles or RPMs from 480.74 million RPMs in the same period last year.
The airline's April 2012 capacity was 673.31 million available seat miles or ASMs, up 24.7% from 539.87 million ASMs in the prior year period.
Load factor for April 2012 was 87.3%, down 1.7 points from 89.0% reported in April 2011.
