Soundgarden has released the video for the band's "Live to Rise" track from The Avengers soundtrack. The vid presents the band playing in front of an animated screen in a blue-hued environment.

"Live to Rise," which is featured during the film's closing credits, was released on April 17 and notched 350,000 downloads in only its first week on iTunes.

"It's such a different environment," Chris Cornell, Soundgarden's lead singer and former Audioslave frontman, told The Hollywood Reporter in a recent sit-down. Speaking with the magazine, the singer revealed that there are major difference today between the music and movie industry.

"In this day and age you don't have the monolithic record company with seemingly limitless resources and multimillion-dollar profits," he said. "They don't exist. Which is why a partnership like this exists. The movie company does have that, and they will promote it. It's the only way to get your music in front of people."

The soundtrack for The Avengers also features songs by Bush, Papa Roach, Shinedown and Evanescence.
