Denmark's merchandise trade surplus decreased from the previous month in March, data released by Statistics Denmark showed Tuesday.
The seasonally adjusted trade surplus, excluding ships and aircraft, dropped to EUR6 billion in March from EUR7.5 billion in February.
Export of goods decreased a seasonally adjusted 3.8 percent month-on-month to EUR50.3 billion in March. The value of shipments to the U.S. declined 11.9 percent sequentially, while dispatches to China fell 30 percent during the month.
Imports dropped 1.1 percent from the previous month to EUR44.3 billion in March. There was a 19.9 percent monthly decrease in arrivals from the U.S., and a 24.4 percent fall in imports from China.
In the three months ended March, the value of exports rose a seasonally adjusted 2.4 percent from the preceding three-month period, while imports rose 1 percent, the agency said.
