Gainers:

GTx, Inc. (GTXI) is rising 11 percent to $3.44. The company announced that the FDA has removed its full clinical hold on the Investigational New Drug application for Capesaris following the review by the FDA of the complete response and its new Phase II clinical protocol.

Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ARNA) is up 6 percent to $2.90.

Decliners:

Wendy's Co. (WEN) is falling 2 percent to $4.75. The company swung to a profit in its first quarter. Adjusted earnings per share from continuing operations missed Wall Street view.

OfficeMax Inc. (OMX) is declining 7 percent to $4.10. The company's first quarter profit plunged from the prior year period. Total sales rose 0.5 percent, and were inline with analysts' estimate.

Fossil, Inc. (FOSL) is plunging 24 percent to $94.95. The company's first quarter profit increased from the previous year. Net sales increased 9.8 percent, but were notably below the consensus estimate. The company also lowered its 2012 earnings guidance.

McDonald's Corp. (MCD) is falling 2 percent to $93.35. The company's global comparable sales improved 3.3 percent in April. Systemwide sales for the month increased 2.2 percent, or 5.5 percent in constant currencies.

MAKO Surgical Corp. (MAKO) is declining 30 percent to $29.10. The company's first quarter loss widened from the previous year. The company also lowered its full year 2012 sales volume outlook for its RIO orthopaedic systems, citing a slow start to the year.
