Air France-KLM April Passenger Traffic, Capacity Rise - Quick Facts

Franco-Dutch airline Air France-KLM (AFLYY.PK,AFRAF.PK) reported Wednesday a growth in passenger traffic and capacity in the month of April boosted by improved performance in Europe, Americas and Asia/Pacific. Cargo traffic declined from last year.

Passenger traffic in April increased 2.8 percent to 18.28 billion revenue pax kilometers or RPK from last year's 17.79 billion RPM. The company said it has restated passenger data to include the passenger business of Martinair.

The airline carried 6.52 million passengers in the month, 2 percent higher than last year. Load factor improved 2 points to 83.3 percent.

Traffic in Europe grew 4.9 percent, while the growth was 2.3 percent in Americas, 7.5 percent in Asia/Pacific and 0.6 percent in Africa/ Middle East.

In the cargo division, traffic fell 8.3 percent and load factor dropped 3.5 points to 64.2 percent.
