Extending early gains, the Canadian currency advanced against its key counterparts in the New York session on Friday.
Against the euro, greenback and the yen, the loonie reached a new 4-month high of 1.2885, 3-day highs of 0.9956 and 80.36 from early 2-day lows of 1.3016, 1.0056 and 79.38, respectively.
The loonie hit a new multi-month high of 1.0007 against the aussie, compared to yesterday's close of 1.0106.
