A&E has announced that the eighth season of the Gene Simmons reality program, Gene Simmons Family Jewels, which is set to broadcast on May 28 at 9 PM EST. The initial show in the season will be a special one-hour television event.
The culmination of the seventh and last season was Simmons' long time girlfriend, Shannon Tweed's, success in taming the polyamorous KISS bassist by allowing her hand in marriage.
The eighth season will explore the outcome of their domestic adventure.
A&E teases that one plot point will be the struggle of Tweed to convince Simmons to adopt a child. Their children, Nick and Sophie are also dubious.
A honeymoon trip taken to Africa is the focus of another episode or two, and, in yet another, Nick reflects on his identity, its likeness to his father, etc.
