Usher hit up Saturday Night Live over the weekend marking his third appearance on the late night comedy sketch show; he played his new single "Scream" along with "Climax," the lead single from his forthcoming LP, Looking 4 Myself.
Ush also popped up in a skit in the role of Mr. Galactic Fantastic in the "2012 Funkytown Debate" sketch; in that role he lent his vocal talents to host Will Ferrell's mayoral candidate, Captain Catfish.
The new album is Usher's first since 2010's Raymond v Raymond, and marks his seventh studio album overall. He stated that the album will focus on a type of music which he depicted as "revolutionary pop", which utilizes elements of electronic, R&B, soul and pop genres to create a new sound.
Looking 4 Myself is due June 12.
