"Gravity," the sci-fi drama starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, has been pushed back to 2013. The film was originally scheduled for a November 21 release; a specific date in 2013 has yet to be announced.
Alfonso Cuaron, ("Children of Men"), who wrote the script, is slated to direct the film which centers on an accident which leaves Bullock and Clooney "tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness," according to the official synopsis.
The delay was owed to a lack of available 3-D IMAX screens and a competitive holiday season that includes a new "Bond" movie, the last "Twilight" movie and "The Hobbit."
Several actresses were previously considered for the Bullock role including Angelina Jolie, Marion Cotillard and Scarlett Johansson.
