CSC Posts Loss In Q4 - Quick Facts

Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC) posted fourth-quarter net loss attributable to common shareholders of $158 million or $1.02 per share, as against a profit of $171 million or $1.09 per share last year. Quarterly earnings per share from continuing operations were $1.01 a year before.

On average, 9 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of $0.20 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Revenues for the latest quarter were $4.11 billion, compared with $4.20 billion in the earlier year period, and declined 1.5% in constant currency. Analysts estimated revenues of $4.10 billion for the quarter.

The company continues to evaluate the impact of the turnaround initiatives and would issue fiscal 2013 guidance at a later date, probably during the next earnings call which would be held in August.
