Kid Rock raised $1 million for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra during a benefit concert in which he was backed by same orchestra at the Fox Theatre on Saturday, May 12.
Kid showed up sporting a tux, while the DSO donned fedoras in a hat tip to Rock's signature head wear. After a performance of "Devil Without a Cause" Rock shed the formal digs and proclaimed to the audience:
"You guys didn't think I was gonna wear the tuxedo all night, did you?" He then left the stage and came back wearing a black t-shirt.
During the two-hour and five-minute show, Rock and his Twisted Brown Trucker band performed 11 tracks with the DSO as well as a three-song encore set on their own.
Some of Kid's tracks included "Cowboy," "Bawitiba" and "You Never Met a Motherf*cker Quite Like Me."
