Lithuania Industrial Output Growth Slows In April

Industrial production in Lithuania increased at a slower rate in April, data released by the Department of Statistics showed Monday.

Industrial production increased 6.8 percent on an annual basis in April, slower than the 5.9 percent growth seen in March. In February, the rate of growth was 3.4 percent.

Production in the mining and quarrying industry advanced 7.4 percent annually, while manufacturing output rose 8.2 percent. There was a 7.5 percent year-on-year decrease in the production of electricity, gas and air conditioning supply during the month.

Month-on-month, industrial output advanced a seasonally adjusted 0.8 percent in April. In the four months ended April, production gained 4.6 percent from the corresponding period a year earlier,data showed.
