Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys was paid tribute by Cee Lo Green and his Goodie Mob at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, as they took the stage to perform their rendition of "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (to Party!)"

In addition, the G Mob, which took the stage dressed in all white, performed their track "Fight to Win."

Wiz Khalifa also mentioned the Beastie Boys while presenting an award, noting that they had never won a Billboard Music award.

The other big tribute of the night went to the late Whitney Houston. John Legend, backed by a full orchestra, performed "The Greatest Love of All," while Jordin Sparks sang Houston's "Bodyguard" smash, "I Will Always Love You."

Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina, accepted the Millennium Award for her mother.
