Jim Parsons from "The Big Bang Theory" has admitted he is gay. The actor came out while being interviewed for a profile by the New York Times, which was centered on his performance on Broadway for "Harvey."
Parsons confirmed he's been in a long term relationship with Todd Spiewak for a decade. The "National Enquirer" tried to "out" Parsons in 2010 saying he was engaged to Spiewak.
Parsons plays the geeky character of Sheldon in "The Big Bang Theory." His role has earned him two Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe and a Critics' Choice Award. The series is going into its sixth season next fall. He has also appeared in "The Normal Heart," which is a drama about gay men dying of AIDS.
