"Jersey Shore" star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino says he is returning to the reality series clean and sober. The star recently gave his first interview since completing rehab for prescription drugs and opened up about his experience with MTV.

Speaking with the network, he said rehab was "not a pleasurable experience at all," but it helped him find balance in his life:

"But at the same time, where I'm at right now, I'm at a good place," he says. "But it took a little bit to get there. In the beginning? A lot of rainy days, so to speak. A lot of rainy days."

He adds that his true character is not always evident on the show saying:

"The real Mike is somebody who is a positive person, a generous person. A loyal person," said Sorrentino about the man he was when he got his first shot at stardom on the show. "Somebody that's gonna help you if you call me up and say, 'Mike, I got a flat tire.' I'm there, you know?"
