Stone Energy Corp. (SGY: Quote) announced that its Board has appointed David Welch as Chairman of the Board, replacing Richard Pattarozzi. Welch will retain his position as Chief Executive Officer and President of Stone Energy. Pattarozzi will remain as the lead Director on the Board.

Adobe Profit Tops Estimate

Publishing and design software maker Adobe Systems Inc. said Tuesday after the markets closed that its second quarter profit fell 66% from last year, hurt by lower revenue as well as higher costs and expenses.
