7 Killed As Gunmen Attack Passenger Bus In Pakistan

At least seven people were killed and several injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire at a passenger bus in Pakistan's southern city of Nawabshah on Friday, local media reported.

The incident happened at about 12:00 p.m. (local time) when at least two militants opened fire at a passenger bus carrying some 50 people in Qazi Ahmad area of Nawabshah, a main town in the country's southern Sindh province.

The gunmen sprayed the bus with bullets from the two sides killing seven at the scene and fled the spot after the attack. The injured have been shifted to a hospital in Qazi Ahmad where the condition of some of them was stated to be serious, the reports said.

The bus was heading from the port city of Karachi to the north-western city of Kohat and most of the passengers were believed to be ethnic Pakhtoons. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
