Pearl Jam has been announced as the headlining act for the inaugural Made in America Festival alongside Jay-Z.
Last week, Jay-Z and Mayor Michael Nutter announced that the two-day festival would be happening on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway on Labor Day weekend. Other acts confirmed so far include indie-rockers Dirty Projectors and electro-pop band Passion Pit.
The hip-hop mogul assured the Inquirer in an interview last week that Made In America would be wide-ranging musically. "The lines that separate us, I don't believe in that," the rapper born Shawn Carter said. "That's for people who need to easily define what they're hearing. Me, I'm cool with everything and anything I'm hearing that's music."
More acts for Made in America are expected to be announced soon.
