The Eagles are contemplating a 40th anniversary reunion tour that might include all of the past members. Whether or not former members like Randy Meisner and Bernie Leadon will appear in person or via an on-stage video retrospective is a different question, though.
Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh said in an interview with Rolling Stone that he thinks "it would be fun" if former members like Meisner and Leadon showed up to perform for a special gig that they recorded and released as a DVD.
From a night-to-night basis during the tour, however, Walsh seemed to hint that, as far as the former members, "at least they'll be represented video-wise."
Walsh said the video images would come from the Eagles video archive and that putting together an archival project is a top priority for The Eagles.
"We have archives all the way back . . . we want to do it real bad. We haven't started yet, and we're saving it all for next year and taking this year off just to get ready. But I think if we can get it together, it'll be really good."
Before that comes together, Walsh is releasing his first solo album in 20 years called Analog Man.
