Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj have been confirmed as performers at this years' BET Awards show. The star-studded duo are the first artists to be announced to take the stage.
Kanye West leads the way in the nominations category with seven at this year's BET Awards, an impressive list of nods that includes two for music video of the year. West is nominated for his videos "N---as in Paris" and "Otis."
Beyoncé came in second in terms of nominations by notching six, while husband Jay-Z earned himself five noms. Big Sean was excited about his three nominations, including his look in the Best Male Hip-Hop Artist category, where he will square off against Drake, J. Cole, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and Young Jeezy.
The BET Awards will be hosted by Samuel L. Jackson and will air from Los Angeles, California's Shrine Auditorium Sunday, July 1 at 8/7c on BET. Jackson follows previous hosts Kevin Hart, Will Smith, Mo'nique, and D.L. Hughley.
