Russell Crowe made a surprised on-stage appearance at an Elvis Costello show this past week in London. Besides starring in major motion pictures, Crowe also plays guitar and was introduced as "the gladiator of guitar" by Costello to the shocked audience at Royal Albert Hall.

The two then performed Elvis's "Evil" and Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues," reports the Daily Express. A smart phone video posted online shows the audience on their feet clapping and singing along as Costello and Crowe traded singing and guitar-playing duties while performing the two tracks.

The next day Crowe called the experience a "privilege," tweeting: "It is true, sang with Elvis Costello and the Imposters at Royal Albert Hall last night. What a privilege."
