Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour and his wife were forced to evacuate their home last week after a construction crew unearthed a World War II-era bomb.

The construction crew was working on Gilmour's six-story home in England's East Sussex when the German-made pipe-shaped, 5-foot-long device was uncovered. Gilmour and wife Polly Samson were removed to safety while a Royal Navy bomb disposal team removed the device.

"Well, this is exciting," Samson tweeted with a photo of the evacuated area. "We've all been evacuated because they've found a bomb under our building site!"

Later Samson tweeted, "They've taken away *our* bomb. Incendiary but missing the bit that makes it go bang."
