Dave Grohl will appear at this year's Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Dinner. No word if Grohl will present an award to one of this year's honorees or if he will perform with his band the Foo Fighers.
If Grohl was to present an award he will have quite the distinguished list of songwriters to do so to.
This year's ceremony will honor Bob Seger, Gordon Lightfoot, Jim Steinman (the writer of hits for Meat Loaf, Bonnie Tyler, and Celine Dion), Don Schlitz (writer for Kenny Rogers' hit "The Gambler"), and musical composers Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones, who created The Fantasticks.
In addition, Bette Midler will receive the Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award, and Ben E. King will be honored with the Towering Song Award for "Stand By Me."
The Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Dinner is scheduled for June 14 in New York City.
