Seether has confirmed the launch of the band's new music festival, Rise Above Fest, on September 3 in Gilford, New Hampshire. The event is named after their popular track "Rise Above This" and will be joined at the event by Puddle of Mudd, Buckcherry, Black Stone Cherry and Otherwise.

A portion of the proceeds from the fest will benefit the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The cause hits close to home for the band, as front man Shaun Morgan's brother committed suicide five years ago.

"Over the past few months, the topic of suicide has received more attention than ever in the media," Morgan said in an official statement. "For me personally, it is something I can never forget. I am starting this festival as a tribute to anyone who has lost someone. If this festival does something to help one person reconsider the tragic choice of suicide, then it will be the greatest success of my career."
