AMR Corp. (AMR,AAMRQ.PK), the parent company of American Airlines, Inc., reported May 2012 consolidated revenue and traffic results for its principal subsidiary, American Airlines, Inc., and its wholly owned subsidiary, AMR Eagle Holding Corp.
Consolidated traffic, measured in revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, for the month rose 0.4% to 11.88 billion from 11.83 billion in the prior year. Capacity, measured in available seat miles, or ASMs, declined 0.6% to 14.22 billion from 14.3 billion in the previous year.
Consolidated load factor for the month was 83.5% versus 82.7% last year.
